I finally decided today the 1st March 2014 ,5:10:00 AM to blog something, So thought why not to start with the first place i visit.
So I and my friend (Kiran) decided to visit an ancient temple called " Sri Ranganatha Swamy "at Magadi. As he wanted to perform a puja for his brand new car & also it's suppose to be his family deity , So we started our journey after a hot coffee from Adigas at "KHB colony,Magadi Road " around 9:30 AM.
The city roads were as usual jam packed but once we got into the outskirts though the roads were narrow they were well tarred and the ride was quite smooth, My friend was grateful enough to let me drive his new car which I enjoyed very much ,At last we reached the " Magadi Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple " Its was a very beautiful temple constructed in the Dravidian Style.
It took us around 1 Hr 15 Min approx which is about 45 kms from bangalore, the place where the temple is situated is called tirumale. I suggest you take your own food and water as u need to travel back to the city to get all these,We had our lunch after the puja at the temple's lunch place.

This temple is centuries old and suppose to be from the Vijayanagara Era .It was again renovated and a gopuram was inaugurated by " Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar " in 1959.
Main attractions in & around the temple are "Standing Ranganatha Idol ", As Ranganatha (Vishnu) idol is suppose to be in the reclining position.
Small reclining idol of Lord Ranganatha with one leg folded called as "Beleyo Ranga(Growing Ranga)" as it is suppose to be still growing according to the priest of the temple.
Kalyani a sacred pond for rituals on the right side at the entrance of the temple.
I hope everyone visits this ancient and unique temple, especially people who worship Lord Ranganatha (Vishnu). The priest taking care of the small reclining idol of lord ranganatha also mentioned that married couple who are not blessed with a child would also benefit visiting this temple.
Another popular place to visit nearby is " Savandurga ". It is suppose to be among the largest monolith hills in asia and one of the popular trekking spots near bangalore.
